How to delete cookies on PC, MacBook, Chorme, Firefox

What are cookies? 

Cookies are tiny files transferred by various websites to your preferred Internet browser. Any browser running on your Mac can become a target. These files are then saved on the hard drive without user’s awareness and agreement

Some feel there is nothing to fear. However, there are dangerous sites today that apply deliberate cookies in order to obtain valuable data unethically. It makes no sense to fight – it’s better to protect your computer - even the once thought invincible from attack Apple MacBook, and PC from all possible threats.


As you probably know, there are 3 primary browsers:

* Safari

* Mozilla Firefox

* Chrome

  • Explorer is not a favorite for browser for Mac, but follow the same basic steps.


Steps for Mac Users:

What kind of browser-user are you?  You will be able to clear cookies on your computer with just a few clicks of your mouse. It’s just as easy as 123:

Safari Preferences

  1. Pick "Privacy" option in the left menu.
  2. Check-mark "Cookies" in every browser section.
  3. Then press on "Remove"

To do everything manually and with respect to the preferred browser, some steps may be different. Check them out below!

For the browser, you will  you’ll need to:

  • Launch it.
  • Choose History in the top menu bar.
  • Select Clear Recent History
  • Decide on the time framework if applicable
  • Click Details
  • Two last steps are the same as described above.

How to clear cookies on Mac when using Safari?

  • Run the browser.
  • Press on History at the top of the menu bar.
  • Select Clear History and Website Data.
  • It is better to stop on the all history when speaking about time period.
  • End up with Clear History.

Delete cookies on Mac if you prefer Chrome in this way:

  • Launch the browser of your choice.
  • Move to menu's
  • Pick Show Full History.
  • Clear browsing data is the next step.
  • Decide on the time range.
  • Don't forget about Cookies box!
  • Choose Clear browsing data.

For PC users:

Go to Control Panel

Select Small Icons on Right top drop down

Select Internet Options and click the Delete button near end of page

Select: Temporary, Cookies and Website Data, and History

For Chrome Users:

  • Step 1: Click on the three vertical dots in the top right hand coner.

  • Step 2: navigate to the setting's button

  • Step 3: Scroll down and click advanced

  • Step 4: Naviagte down to the bottom of Privacy and security and click on Clear browsing data

  • Step 5: Select the amount and type of data you are trying to clear

For Firefox:

To clear cache and cookies when using Mozilla Firefox follow the steps detailed below:

  • Step 1: Click on the menu button in the upper right corner.
  • Step 2:  Select Options.

  • Step 3: In the Privacy section , click on Clear your recent history. From the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear, select Everything, then click on Clear Now.

  • Step 4: In the left-side column, click on Advanced, then go to the Network tab.
  • Step 5: In the Cached Web Content section, click on Clear Now.

If experiencing difficulty gaining access to Wi-Fi please forget the network and re-add it. 

This usually fixes the issue with Wi-Fi connectivity for both PC and especially Mac Users.
