Respondus Lockdown Overview:
Your instructor may require that you take a quiz in Canvas using the Respondus LockDown Browser. This is a custom browser that will prohibit any new tabs, windows, copying & pasting, screen shots and printing.
To download the Browser on your computer, use the link below. This link provided is unique to Lindenwood and must be the one used to download the application.

Respondus LockDown Browser Installation Procedure
LockDown Browser is a locked browser for taking quizzes in Canvas. It prevents you from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during an assessment.
If a Canvas quiz requires that LockDown Browser be used, you will not be able to take the quiz with a standard web browser.
After installing RLDB
- Log Into Canvas with Respondus LockDown Browser
- Access Course
- Open the Quiz or Exam
- Begin taking Quiz or Exam while in RLDB it will alert you to close all other applications select YES to all!
- When completed, Submit and Close the Browser.
This Browser should only be used for taking Canvas Quizzes. It should not be used in other areas of Canvas.

Step 2: Click on 'Install Now' button
Step 3: Click on LockDownBrowser.exe file in the bottom of the page
Step 4: Follow through the Installation and Setup Wizard
Step 5: Double click on the LockDown Icon with the server link provided for the Exam to be taken and the LockDown browser is activated and expect for the browser being used for the exam all other browsers are deactivated.
