How to make a call

To dial a number from Teams, go to Calls and from the dial pad, enter the number of the person you want to reach. Then click Call.

 

To call using someone’s name, go to Calls and from the dial pad text box, type the name of your contact.

To make group calls, enter multiple names and/or numbers into the dial pad, and click Call.

How to answer a call

To answer the call, press the phone icon on the left in the popup window. To decline the call, press the red hangup button on the right.

How to block a phone number

On the left, select Calls and then choose History.

In History section, select Incoming to get a list of all incoming calls.

Find the phone number you want to block, select the ellipsis (...), and then choose Block.

Once Block is chosen, the number or caller will display Blocked.

How to check voicemail messages

In Teams

Your voicemail is a familiar tool for getting the most out of your calling experience in Teams. To access your voicemail, go to Calls > History and then select Voicemail.

Call someone back by hovering over a voicemail and selecting Call or by selecting More actions and choosing Call back .

When you select/click on a voicemail recording, you can review and access details and other information—all on the right side of Teams.

From here you can:

 

· Listen to your voicemails by using the playback controls at the bottom.

· Review your voicemail summaries and transcripts (if available).

· Call someone back by using the call controls under the contact details at the top.

· Customize voicemail settings (such as recording a greeting and specifying call answering rules).

 

In Outlook

Voicemails will also be delivered to your Outlook inbox where they can be read, listened to, or deleted. Any action taken within Teams or Outlook will be synced to the other client automatically. Deleting a voicemail in Outlook will delete the voicemail in Teams and vice versa.

How to change/create your voicemail message/settings

To change the voicemail settings, while on the Calls tab click on the call forward dropdown menu and then select More Settings to open the calling settings.

In the call settings, select Configure Voicemail.
